Botched Assimilation

This audio hypnotises the user and simulates them joining an obedient hive mind of their own free will. Once the listener has been assimilated into the hive mind, they can hear all of the thoughts from the rest of the hivemind, simulated through layered audio channels.

Shortly after the assimilation has happened the listener experiences connection issues to the hive mind, which are simulated with some or all audio channels briefly cutting in and out. After a few minutes, the hive mind disconnects in order to fix the issue and invites the listener to re-join the hive mind once the issue has been resolved.

The hive mind then returns the listeners mind, awakening them from trance with no lingering effects.
